What is the resin jewelry made of?
All our jewelry is made of two materials which are epoxy resin and wood.
Regarding the wood, it can vary depending on the type of wood used. In general, the wood used for these rings is fir wood. But this does not prevent us from using woods such as walnut, oak, elm, chestnut and many other types of wood.
For the resin we use epoxy, perfect for creating all kinds of objects such as river tables or epoxy pendants. In addition to the resin, colorants are added to accentuate its aesthetics and create designs that are all different from one another.

Polyester resin
Laminating resin
Resin jewelry casting
UV resin
They all have their advantages depending on their characteristics and the way they are used.
Polyester resin is inexpensive compared to the others, it has a faster curing and once hardened it has the particularity of being very robust. But its appearance and less aesthetic than the epoxy resin or casting.
The laminating resin is our favorite choice, because it is epoxy. And it is from this resin that we design all our jewelry. It is more aesthetic and more adapted to the manufacture of small objects. It is quite multi-functional for its uses.
We will find the resin of jewelry casting that we use for our tables in epoxy or river table. It is more resistant when used on larger surfaces as opposed to the resin of layering which will be preferred for small objects such as our resin jewelry.
Finally we have the UV resin which hardens with the help of UV lamp very quickly. It is perfect for individuals who want to create their own resin object. However, its disadvantage is its fast drying. You will have to use more layers after layers. That's why it is mainly used for small objects such as resin jewelry.
The creation of resin jewelry
The manufacture of our epoxy jewelry is done in 3 steps.
1st step we decide the design of the jewelry, that is to say the color, the shape and what it will contain.
2nd step we will choose the type of wood that will be coupled with the resin, as we saw above that there are several types of wood.
3rd step we will shape our piece of wood before it is coupled to the resin. Drilling holes, sanding, etc...
4th step preparation of the resin of the color and its hardener.
5th step creation and preparation of the mold for the assembly and the casting of resin.
6th step: the piece of wood is placed in the mold, as well as any other object chosen for the fabrication and the resin is poured inside the mold. We add either before the dye, or after in a delicate way to draw lines of color, as on the photo below:

7th let the resin dry
8th step to take off the jewels of the mould to make the completions which are the sandpapering on very fine grain and to finish by the polishing.
